One of the kindness projects we started is called “Connections”. “Connections” happen once a month at high schools. I participated in our December “Connections” at Montrose High School. We handed out 700 candy canes and gave students high fives as they entered school during their final exam week. We wished students, “Good luck” and said, “You’re going to do great!” I could see a difference in how they walked through the first door, before the “Connection”, and after the second door when we made the ”Connection”. They stood taller, looked more confident and smiled. I love making “Connections” because it makes me feel good helping others and it’s a great way to start and end my day!
